Dorsey pictures celebrates 15 years of success with variety spotlight and debut on the realscreen global 100 list

March 30, 2016 (Denver, CO) – Dorsey Pictures (formerly Orion Entertainment) celebrated its 15th anniversary this month with its debut on the Realscreen Global 100 (March 23) and a spotlight feature in Variety (March 29). Led by Chris Dorsey, Founder and CEO, Dorsey Pictures, the company continues to dominate lifestyle television programming that explores America’s fascinations with “the call of the wild” and boasts a robust slate of clients across its branded entertainment division.

“Fifteen years is a long time but I feel like we are just getting started,” said Dorsey. “We are hitting our stride in storytelling for programming and branded entertainment, we are working hard to be a leader in the field, and we understand our clients. With the global reach of Red Arrow, our possibilities are now limitless.”

To date, Dorsey Pictures has produced more than 1,000 hours of TV programming for a variety of major US TV and cable networks including Discovery, History, DIY, Travel Channel, ESPN, National Geographic and HGTV. Amongst the 20 series on their slate, season 3 of “Tiny House, Big Living” is currently airing on HGTV and “Living Big Sky” will have its second season premiere on HGTV next month. When interviewed for Variety about Dorsey Pictures, John Feld, senior VP of programming and production, Scripps Network said, “They’re able to bring us not only great content on a regular basis, but they also present their storytelling wrapped in some of the most beautiful images on air.”

In addition to a robust slate of successful unscripted programming, Dorsey Pictures continues to be home to a thriving branded entertainment. Jan Frouman, Chairman and CEO, Red Arrow, recently said of the company’s branded business, “A player who has existing brand relationships, a real core competence and an enormous footage library…and the ability to target a clear, extremely valuable audience with that – that’s a compelling proposition.” The company’s branded business, which has an office in Detroit, MI, has worked with a wide range of A-list talent including Michael Keaton, Tom Brokaw, Liam Neeson, Huey Lewis and more than 40 brand clients has included Chrysler/Ram Trucks, Ford Motor Company, Cabela’s, Polaris Industries, Bass Pro Shops, Artic Cat, Swarovski and many others.

Earlier this year, Red Arrow Entertainment Group acquired a majority stake of the company with Red Arrow International becoming the global distribution channel for Dorsey Pictures’ formats and series.
