Dorsey to join Congressional Sportsman's Foundation Board of Directors Denver-based Orion Entertainment president unanimously elected, will chair Marketing Communications committee Washington, DC--Officials from the Congressional Sportsman's Foundation have announced that lifestyle television pioneer Chris Dorsey, president of Denver-based Orion Entertainment, will join the board of directors of the Congressional Sportsman's Foundation, the funding arm of the Congressional Sportsman's Caucus, the largest bi-partisan caucus in the U.S. Congress with more than 300 members from the Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. The organization also includes 44 state legislative sportsman's caucuses comprised of more than 2,000 legislators and 28 Governors.

The Congressional Sportsman's Foundation works with elected officials to advance legislative issues important to America's 60 million sportsmen who generate more than $76 billion annually to the U.S. economy.

Dorsey founded Orion Entertainment in 1997 and has since helped launch more than 60 television series in genres including outdoor adventure, lifestyle, food, travel, and real estate. Dorsey's Orion productions have appeared on History, Discovery, National Geographic, HGTV, DIY, Travel Channel, ESPN, ESPN2, NBC Sports Network, Great American Country, Nat Geo Wild, Outdoor Channel and many others.

Dorsey is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and is the author of seven books on outdoor adventure and business topics and his work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, National Geographic, TV Week, and scores of outdoor adventure titles. He lives in Denver with his wife Amy and twin sons, Luke and Nathan.
